Slashdot: Neuroscientists Have Isolated The Part Of The Brain That Controls Free Will

I mean, it’s possible that they found the part(s) of the brain responsible for free will, but it mostly sounds like they just located our choice-making machinery. The metaphysics surrounding the debate over free will, predestination, or some other wholly mechanistic source for why we do the things we do, are not settled. Nor, one expects, will they ever be. I mean, unless someone comes up with a really smart computer. Even then, we might have to wait a while for the answer.

Or did they?
